I have PCOD but usually have regular periods. My last period was on 4th, and I took a pregnancy test which came out positive. It has now been 1 month and 1 week. Should I take any special precautions because of my PCOD? I am not currently on any medication.

Even though you have PCOD, regular periods and a positive test are encouraging signs. Its best to start with a Beta HCG test and an early ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy location and growth. Begin taking folic acid supplements and avoid stress or heavy work. PCOD may slightly increase early pregnancy risks, so early monitoring is key. Please consult a gynecologist soon to start routine antenatal care.

View allMy last period was on 22nd July, and my pregnancy test is positive. An ultrasound shows a small gestational sac, but no cardiac activity is detected yet. How long should we wait for cardiac activity to appear, or could this indicate another issue? Please advise.

Received my report of HCG test where the result says 79.20. What does that mean? Female pregnancy section is blank. Then week of gestation is mentioned. Comment says reference range: Male and non pregnant females.

How many days of pregnancy can be detected through a serum beta hCG test, and how accurate is it? Is there any other test to confirm pregnancy?
