I hurt myself about three months ago, and my recent MRI shows I've got a grade 3 meniscal tear. I'm really concerned about whether or not this can heal without surgery. If I stick to proper physical therapy and medication, is there a chance it might recover on its own? I'm looking for some guidance here.

A grade 3 meniscal tear typically requires surgical intervention, but with proper physical therapy and medication, some patients may experience symptom relief and functional improvement without surgery; however, the tear itself may not fully heal on its own, and surgery, such as meniscectomy or meniscal repair, may still be necessary to prevent further damage, alleviate pain, and restore knee function; consult an orthopedic specialist to discuss the best course of treatment for your specific condition.

I'm really concerned about this back pain I've been having around my waist area for about a year now. It hurts whenever I stand or sit in one spot for over an hour and it gets worse if I lift something heavy or bend over to do stuff for like 10 to 20 minutes. The weird thing is, it eases up when I rest or lie down. I haven't had any injuries or medical conditions that I'm aware of, so I'm not sure what's going on. Could this just be a muscle sprain, or is there something else I should be worried about?

It sounds like your back pain could be related to muscle strain or poor posture, especially if it worsens with prolonged sitting or lifting. It might also be due to muscle imbalances or tension. If rest helps, that's a good sign, but I recommend seeing a healthcare provider for a thorough evaluation to rule out other possible causes.

Exercises, physical therapy, and bracing are common non-surgical methods, while chiropractic adjustments and massage can also be used to relieve pain and potentially improve spinal alignment
