I just coughed up some super thick bloody mucus, and I'm breathing in hard through my sinuses. Should I be worried about this, or is it something that can happen occasionally?

View allMy mom's been on atorva for the past couple of years, but she's recently started having this weird dry cough that we can't really explain. Could this be a side effect of atorva? I've read that it might lead to interstitial lung disease or something like that. She's 53, by the way. Could that be related?

I'm really concerned about the potential effects of doing an HRCT. Could it actually stimulate or spread any existing fibrotic opacities in the lungs? I'm worried because I've heard mixed opinions about it and would love some clarity from you.

I'm feeling really anxious about my dad's CT lung scan results. The report mentioned "subtle areas post-inflammatoryinfectious fibrosis" and "patchy air trapping in parenchyma bilaterally," plus there's a "small paraseptal bulla" in his left upper lobe. He's a smoker, so I'm really concerned about what this all means for his health. Could you help me understand these findings?
