I was diagnosed with right breast IDC grade III and am BRCA1 positive. After NACT with 4AC followed by 12 Paclitaxel, I had a bilateral modified radical mastectomy left breast removed as prophylaxis. The biopsy report shows clear lymph nodes and left breast, with post-NACT improvement on the right but some residual disease. Should I keep taking Tamoxifen 20mg after surgery? My periods have stopped will they come back if I stop Tamoxifen? Also, is oophorectomy recommended in my case? My post-NACT PET CT showed an enlarged hypoechoic right cervical lymph node (2x1.3 cm) is this something to worry about or just normal?

Tamoxifen is typically prescribed for ER-positive breast cancer to reduce the risk of recurrence. Stopping it may affect your hormonal balance, and periods may not return. An oophorectomy might be considered in high-risk cases like yours. Discuss this with your oncologist.

I'm really concerned about the situation with my lung nodules. Back in 2018, I had a left radical nephrectomy because of CCRCC, and they found a small lung nodule later that year. Then, in 2019, the CT thorax showed there were multiple nodules, with the largest being 3.5mm. By October 2019, another CT revealed that the largest nodule had grown to 7.5mm, and the distribution had changed as well. This is all being managed at TMC Mumbai, but I'm worried about whether the increase in size is something to worry about. Can you shed some light on this for me?

my mother has stage 3A breast cancer and is getting treatment at SGPGIMS but the doctors aren't clear about how many chemo cycles she'll need they mentioned maybe 10 cycles but does that mean 5 before surgery and 5 after or something else also they said it could go beyond 10 if her body responds well is there no standard number of cycles for different cancer stages and which hospital would be best for breast cancer treatment
