I was using a cotton ear bud and now the cotton part got stuck in my ear canal! The stick came out but the cotton's still in there and it's starting to hurt a little. Any idea on how I can safely get it out?

View allI'm dealing with this weird sensation where the left side of my mouth always feels itchy and slightly painful, almost like it's dry. It's just before my throat and past my left tonsil. This has been bugging me for months now. Sometimes, it reminds me of a mouth ulcer, but it just keeps coming back after a few days. Plus, when I sleep on my left side for a while, it feels uncomfortable because only my left nostril stays open, and the airflow directly hits that area. Any idea what might be going on here?
