I've had a hoarse voice for the last 4 months and was diagnosed with vocal cord polyps. The allopathy doctor gave me meds for 10 days and said surgery might be needed if it doesn't improve. For the past month, I've been noticing a salty thin liquid on the right side of my throat. When I spit it out, it's clear and thin but doesn't look like regular sputum. I keep swallowing or spitting to clear my throat, but it's only happening on the right side. I had ear surgeries and tonsils removed as a kid could this be related or is it something normal?
