I'm 18 and I've got these dark patches on both sides of my nose, kind of like a permanent tan. I used to spend a lot of time in the sun, and it's been about three years with these patches. I've tried everything from doctor-prescribed creams to a chemical peel, and I always use sunscreen, but nothing seems to really help. The only thing that lightened them up was this Lomela cream with hydroquinone, but when I stopped using it, the patches just got darker. I'm worried and frustrated are there any creams or treatments that could help get rid of these dark patches for good?

View allI'm dealing with some black patches around my chin, right below my mouth, and near my nose and lips. They sometimes peel off, leaving dry skin, but right now they're just dark spots. I was told by a dermatologist a year ago that it might be seborrheic melanosis, but the treatment she suggested didn't work, and she mentioned it can't be treated permanently. It had lightened up a bit, but now it's dark again. Is there any way to treat this permanently?
this needs physical examination and appropriate approach, visit dermatologist for the same, do not try to squeeze it or scratch it

I'm noticing these white patches on my face for the first time, and I'm not sure what's causing them. I talked to a local doctor, but it didn't really help. Can you give me some guidance on what might be going on or what I should do next? I'm starting to get a little worried.

I'm a 33-year-old guy and I've been using Minokem N 5 lotion, which has Minoxidil, Azelaic acid, and Tretinoin, for about 7 years now. While my hair loss seems under control, I haven't seen any major hair growth. So far, I haven't experienced any side effects, but I'm a bit worried about whether there could be any long-term effects if I keep using this. Is this combo safe to use indefinitely, or should I be looking out for any specific issues?
Long-term use of Minokem N 5% lotion (Minoxidil + Azelaic acid + Tretinoin) may lead to potential side effects, such as skin irritation, dryness, or allergic reactions, although rare; while minoxidil is generally safe for long-term use, azelaic acid and tretinoin may increase skin sensitivity, and prolonged use of tretinoin can lead to skin thinning or increased risk of skin cancer; consult a dermatologist to assess your individual risk-benefit profile and determine if lifelong use is advisable, considering regular monitoring and potential adjustments to your treatment plan.
