I'm 21 and dealing with a septum deviation towards the right side plus a concha bullosa on the same side. My doctor mentioned surgery, but I'm wondering if it's really necessary. Do you think it's something I should go ahead with?

It is common to undergo surgery for septum deviation and concha bullosa if they are causing symptoms. The surgery is called septoplasty and it helps to correct the deviated septum and concha bullosa. It is usually recommended if you are experiencing difficulty breathing, frequent sinus infections, or other related symptoms. The surgery can improve airflow through the nose and alleviate symptoms. The doctor may also prescribe pain medication and nasal decongestants post-surgery to help with recovery.

View allI'm experiencing some discomfort and it's a bit puzzling. Whenever I move my lower lip to the left side, I feel pain in my ear and right above it. It's a similar kind of pain that I get while chewing, though that's a bit milder. Could this be related to something specific, or is it just normal muscle pain? I'm curious if this is something I should be concerned about.

I'm really struggling with my nasal spray habit. I've been using Otrivin for around 45 years now and every time I try to stop, my nose just gets so stuffy that I end up using it again. It's affecting my life a lot, and I can't seem to shake it off. Plus, there's this post-nasal drip that bothers me. What can I do to finally break free from this cycle? Any advice would be really appreciated.

I'm dealing with tonsil stones for the past year and I've noticed some small stones in my tonsils. I've managed to remove a few, but can't get rid of the ones on the outer part. Sometimes it feels like something's stuck in my throat, but I don't have any ear pain, fever, swelling, or sore throat. The only issue is a dry throat. What should I do next? How can I relieve this problem without surgery? I've been gargling with Betadine daily. Could this be chronic tonsillitis? Any advice would be really helpful.
Consult an ENT specialist to rule out underlying conditions like allergies, sinusitis, or non-allergic rhinitis. Consider: 1. Allergy testing 2. Nasal endoscopy 3. Imaging tests (CTMRI scans) Continue medications as prescribed, and explore additional measures like humidifiers, saline nasal sprays, and avoiding irritants.
