I'm a 22-year-old female with retinal thinning in my right eye that's under control, but my doctor recommended surgery if I want to keep running and exercising. I run fast daily and do push-ups and crunches, plus I have a violent sneezing problem. If I avoid weights and gymnastics, am I still at risk of detachment without surgery?
