I'm 28 and recently had sex with a prostitute, but I'm not sure about her HIV status. After I got an erection, some serum leaked from the condom and got into her vagina, though she cleaned up right away. I'm pretty worried and just wondering if there's any risk of HIV transmission from this situation?

I'm really worried because I had unprotected sex with a sex worker a few days ago, and now I'm planning to get tested for STDs within the next couple of days. What should I be looking out for, and is there anything else I should do right now? I'm feeling really anxious about this whole situation.

If you had unprotected sex with a sex worker, you should wait at least 14 days before getting tested for chlamydia or gonorrhea, and at least 28 days before getting tested for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C. Testing too early can lead to false results, while being tested too late can cause complication

I'm trying to understand the differences between the typhoid IgG IgM test and the Widal test. Can one of these tests detect typhoid better than the other? I'm not sure which test is more reliable or if there's any specific situation where one might be preferred. Could you explain this to me?

The Typhoid IgGIgM test is a serological test that detects the presence of IgM and IgG antibodies against Salmonella Typhi in the blood, indicating acute or past typhoid infection, respectively; this test is more sensitive and specific than the traditional Widal test, which detects agglutinating antibodies, and can be used as a replacement or complementary test, especially in the early stages of infection or in immunocompromised patients; both tests can detect typhoid, but the Typhoid IgGIgM test is preferred due to its higher accuracy and ability to distinguish between acute and past infections.

I've been dealing with a fever and a cough with mucus, and I just got my Widal test results back. It says 140 for salmonella typhi H. Should I be worried that this is typhoid?

No that says typhoid negative
