I'm 30 and have been dealing with a gastric problem for the past 6 months. My endoscopy shows acute fundal erosion, and the ultrasound points to changes in the liver, saying I have a fatty liver. I'm taking medication, but I'm not seeing any improvement. What should I do? Can you offer any suggestions or treatments?

For your gastric issue with fundal erosion, you can try taking a proton pump inhibitor like Omeprazole to reduce stomach acid and promote healing. Additionally, you can take an antacid like Maalox to help with symptoms. For your fatty liver, you can try a medication like Ursodiol to improve liver function and reduce the accumulation of fat in the liver. It is also important to make lifestyle changes such as maintaining a healthy diet, exercising regularly, and avoiding alcohol to improve your liver health. It is important to follow up with your healthcare provider regularly to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.

View allI've been experiencing really bad pain during bowel movements, and it lasts for hours afterward. There's no blood in my stool, but it always feels like a pinching sensation inside and there's also itching around my rectum. Can you suggest the best remedy for this?
Loose motions with sour burps can be uncomfortable and concerning. Given your symptoms, it's possible that you're experiencing: _Possible Causes_ 1. _Gastroenteritis_: A viral or bacterial infection that causes stomach inflammation, leading to loose motions and sour burps. 2. _Acid reflux_: Stomach acid flowing back up into the esophagus, causing sour burps and discomfort. 3. _Food poisoning_: Consuming contaminated food or drinks, leading to stomach upset and loose motions. _Complications to Watch Out For_ 1. _Dehydration_: Excessive loose motions can lead to dehydration, especially if you're not drinking enough fluids. 2. _Electrolyte imbalance_: Loss of essential electrolytes like potassium, sodium, and chloride can cause muscle weakness, fatigue, and heart problems. 3. _Persistent stomach pain_: If stomach pain persists or worsens, it may indicate a more serious underlying condition. _Recommendations_ 1. _Stay hydrated_: Drink plenty of fluids, such as water, clear broths, or electrolyte-rich beverages like coconut water or sports drinks. 2. _Bland diet_: Stick to a bland diet of bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast (BRAT diet) to help firm up your stool. 3. _Over-the-counter medications_: Consider taking antacids or acid reducers like Tums, Rolaids, or Zantac to help alleviate sour burps. 4. _Consult a doctor_: If your symptoms persist, worsen, or you experience any of the following: - Severe stomach pain - Vomiting blood or black tarry stools - Fever above 101.5F (38.6C) - Signs of dehydration (excessive thirst, dark urine, dizziness)

I've been dealing with loose motions for a while now. I started taking Eldoper for around 10 days, and it seemed to help, but now that I've stopped the medicine, the loose motions are back, and my stomach is making these weird noises too. What could be going on here?
The loose motion and stomach noise after taking Eldoper (likely an antibiotic) for 10 days, and the persistence of symptoms after stopping the medication, suggest antibiotic-associated diarrhea or a potential gut microbiome imbalance; consider consulting your doctor about probiotics, dietary changes, or further evaluation to rule out underlying conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), or small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).
