I'm a 34-year-old guy who's been dealing with off-and-on nasal congestion for as long as I can remember. I just had an x-ray of my nose and the PNS result showed some haziness in the right maxillary sinus. My ENT doctor has put me on a course of amoxclav for five days, plus I'm using a fluticasone nasal spray and taking telecast L tablets. I'm really curious about what's causing this haziness. Is it something that happens often, or is there any reason I should be worried? Would appreciate some insight.

I'm Zac and I've been having some issues lately. My tonsils have turned a yellow color, and it's been going on for a few days now. They seem to be getting worse, and there are more spots than before. About a month ago, I had a lot of swelling and pain in the same area. I'm really worried about what's causing all this. Any advice?

Pain in the jaw and throat area can be puzzling. Tonsillitis typically causes sore throat, fever, and difficulty swallowing. Your symptoms, focused on the outer throat and jaw, might suggest alternative causes: - Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder - Jaw alignment issues - Referred pain from dental problems Consider consulting an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialist or a dentist for a thorough evaluation.

I've been dealing with a persistent runny nose for almost a year now that just keeps coming back. What medicine could I take for this? It's really becoming frustrating at this point.

Your symptoms suggest: 1. Post-COVID-19 complications (e.g., otitis media, sinusitis) 2. Acid reflux (GERD) 3. Anxiety-related symptoms 4. Possible pulmonary issues (e.g., bronchitis, pneumonia) Consult your doctor or a specialist (ENT, pulmonologist, or gastroenterologist) for a thorough evaluation and guidance. In the meantime, consider: - Staying hydrated - Using a humidifier - Elevating your head while sleeping - Avoiding irritants (e.g., smoke, dust)

I'm dealing with this persistent white, thick mucus in my throat, and I need to clear it often, but I don't have a runny nose. Its kinda annoying, and on top of that, I have some gastric issues. Could these things be connected, or what might be going on? It's been worrying me a bit.

The persistent white thick mucus in your throat, accompanied by the need to clear your throat frequently, and gastric issues, may indicate gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), where stomach acid flows up into the throat, causing irritation and mucus production, so consider consulting a gastroenterologist or ENT specialist to discuss treatment options, such as antacids, proton pump inhibitors, or lifestyle changes like dietary modifications and elevated head positioning during sleep.
