I'm 38 and have had varicose veins in my left leg for about a year with no pain so far but my doctor recommended vein stripping surgery. Do I really need the surgery right now and what could happen if I delay or skip it? Also what are the risks if I do go through with the procedure?

Hello there. I can understand your concern. Venous stripping is a type of treatment for varicose veins. After surgery the there will not be a problem of varicose veins. Consult a general surgeon in person for further evaluation and management.
