I'm 8 weeks pregnant and having right side abdominal pain the doctor found it's my appendix and recommends surgery. Is it safe to have appendix surgery during pregnancy? What are the risks for me and the baby?

I've been diagnosed with pilonidal sinus and I'm not sure what the best treatment option is. Should I consider plastic surgery or is regular open surgery good enough? I'm a bit worried about recovery and which one would be better long-term
