I'm chewing about four packets of pan masala every day, and I've recently started feeling a pain in my throat. I'm a bit worriedcould this be cancer or is it just my tonsils acting up?

I'm really concerned about this ongoing soreness and scratchy feeling in my throat that I've had for the last four months. I've seen several ENT specialists, and each one seems to have a different take on it. One mentioned acid reflux but I don't actually feel any heartburn, while another pointed to post-nasal drip and after a CT scan said I have ethmoid sinusitis and inflammation in my throat. He mentioned surgery might be an option if medication doesn't help, which I'm really not eager for. Yet another doctor said it's just an infection, but that doesnt seem to explain everything, and I can't get rid of this nagging feeling. I went down a Google rabbit hole and read about persistent throat issues being linked to cancer. Could just a sore throat really mean something as serious as cancer?

I'm dealing with acute tonsillitis and have only throat pain, no fever, cold, or cough symptoms. It started on Monday, May 7th. For the first three days, I did saltwater gargles and had ginger honey, but only saw minimal improvement. So, I went to the doctor who prescribed me Zocef 500 to take twice a day. I've been taking it since Thursday, but the recovery has been really slow; today's the third day and I still feel the throat pain. I'm wondering, if I had taken Azithromycin 500 instead, would it have worked faster on the pain and bacterial infection? I've used it before and noticed a quicker recovery. Is Zocef 500 better than Azithromycin 500? If so, why am I still experiencing throat pain after taking 5 tablets?

Ideally it should work,as you say it's not working you can switch to Azithromycin 500 no problem.
