I'm concerned about my husband's medication for high blood pressure. He's taking Minipress XL and Eslo At, but I'm confused about whether these should be taken before or after meals. His blood pressure is usually around 160110, but after taking the meds, it drops to 12585, and then he feels weak. Is that a normal reaction?

View allI've been tracking my triglycerides, and they were around 260. Lately, I've started doing a brisk walk every day for about 1.5 hours, just following what my doctor suggested. After about 20 days, my triglycerides dropped to 156. Is it normal for them to fall that much, or should I think about getting retested? Also, I'm curious whether high lipid profiles from before can get stuck in the arteries, or do they clear out once the levels go down?
It is possible for your triglyceride levels to decrease with regular exercise like brisk walking. However, it is advisable to repeat the test to confirm the improvement. As for the second part of your question, high lipid profiles can contribute to the buildup of plaque in your arteries over time. Lowering your lipid levels, such as triglycerides, through lifestyle changes and medication can help reduce this buildup and lower the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

I've been dealing with a blood pressure reading of 15498 for the past year, and I'm really trying to convince myself it'll get better naturally, but it just hasn't budged. Do you think there's a way to bring it down to a normal range?
Consistently high blood pressure like yours may require medication to bring it under control and reduce the risk of complications. I recommend you start taking a medication like Amlodipine (brand name Norvasc) at a starting dose of 5mg once daily. However, it is important to consult with your doctor for proper evaluation and monitoring of your blood pressure.

I've been having this really intense chest pain whenever I'm sleeping or after sitting down for a long time. It's weird because it never happens when I'm walking around. The pain doesn't spread to my jaw or arms, and I'm not experiencing any breathlessness, but my digestion isn't right either. This has been going on for about a month now, but only occasionally. Could you give me some advice on what's going on or what I should do?
Ecg and x-ray chest pa view and cardiac markers is advised to the patient.
