I'm curious about how long it generally takes to recover after having a C-section. I'm also wondering if it's safe to begin using a maternity belt to support my abdomen during the recovery process.

After a C-section delivery, it typically takes about 6-8 weeks to fully recover. During this time, it is important to rest, avoid heavy lifting, and follow your doctor's post-operative instructions. You can use a maternity belt to support your abdomen and help with pain relief. It is recommended to wear the maternity belt for about 4-6 weeks post-delivery to provide support to the abdominal muscles.

View allI recently had my uterus polyp removed on the 23rd, and I started my period after three weeks. It's now the fourth day, and I feel like I'm still bleeding, but I'm not sure if it's regular period flow. Normally, my cycle used to last 5 days, but for the past two months, it's extended to 7 days. Typically, by the fourth day, my period would be much lighter, but now there's still a flow, and I'm uncertain if it's just part of the period or actual bleeding. I'm currently taking antibiotics and infection medication after the procedure. Is this normal after having a DC for polyp removal, or should I check in with my gynecologist?
Its normal to experience some changes in your cycle after a D&C or polyp removal, as your body is still recovering. However, if the bleeding seems heavier than usual or if you're feeling uncertain, its always best to consult your gynecologist to ensure everything is healing properly and to rule out any complications.

I have a 13.3 mm secretory hyperplastic endometrium and two myomas one anterior subserous 31x24 mm and another posterior panmural 76x68 mm. The myometrial-endometrial interface is intact, and my cervix is normal. There's a 21 mm dominant follicle in my right ovary with a corpus luteum, and my ovaries measure 38x21 mm (right) and 31x17 mm (left). No free fluid in the adnexae, but some in the POD. My doctor is recommending surgery are there any alternatives I can consider?
Myomas more than 5cm are theorically better to b removed.. More so if u have menstrual disturbances or difficulty in getting pregnant
