I'm currently on ATT DOTS treatment and it's been about 3 months now. Earlier today, I got a rusty cut on my wrist and I'm really considering getting a Tetanus shot. I'm just not sure if it's safe to take the Tetanus injection while I'm on these ATT meds. I did have a Tetanus shot last year. What do you think?

-
Tetanus Injection Safety: Receiving a tetanus toxoid vaccine (TETANUS TOXOID-5LF) while on ATT is generally safe. There are no known harmful interactions between the vaccine and ATT medications.
-
Recent Tetanus Shot: Since you had a tetanus shot last year, your immunity might still be adequate. However, a booster is often recommended after a rusty cut to prevent infection.
-
Wound Care: Ensure the cut is properly cleaned to reduce the risk of infection.
-
Consult Your Doctor: Inform your healthcare provider about your ATT treatment before getting the tetanus shot. They can confirm the best timing and monitor you appropriately.
In summary, getting a tetanus booster while on ATT is usually safe, but discussing it with your doctor ensures personalized care and peace of mind.

View allI'm really worried because I did an HIV test and it came back negative, but I smoked marijuana two days before the test. Now, I'm seeing some variations in my complete blood count test results, and it's making me doubt the accuracy of the HIV test. Could the marijuana have affected the outcome of the HIV test in any way? Can you please help me understand what's going on?
ESR Levels* 1. *Initial high ESR (120)*: This indicates inflammation, which can be caused by various conditions, including infections, arthritis, or cancer. 2. *Reduced ESR (20)*: This suggests that the inflammation has decreased, which is a positive response to treatment. *Possible Causes* 1. *Arthritis*: The initial high ESR and back pain could be indicative of arthritis, such as rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis. 2. *Infections*: Infections like tuberculosis or osteomyelitis can cause high ESR and back pain. 3. *Cancer*: Although less likely, cancer (e.g., multiple myeloma) can cause high ESR. However, a single ESR test is not conclusive for cancer diagnosis. *Next Steps* 1. *Consult her doctor*: Discuss the reduced ESR and any changes in symptoms with her doctor. 2. *Further testing*: Her doctor may recommend additional tests (e.g., blood tests, imaging studies) to determine the underlying cause of the initial high ESR and back pain.

So, yesterday I was bitten by a rat on my thumb, and I noticed some blood coming from it but it stopped by itself after a little while. I washed my hands with soap and water after that. I went to get a tetanus shot and an anti-rabies injection in my butt. But now the doctor told me I need to get two more rabies injections. What should I do? Should I be worried?

So, I recently had a widal test and my results came back with titers at 1:20, 1:40, 1:80, 1:160, and 1:320. I'm kind of confused about what these numbers actually mean for my health. Should I be concerned? What do these results indicate about my condition? Any advice would be really helpful.
