I'm dealing with a bacterial skin infection right on the side of my neck and I've been using Betnovate N cream twice daily for about five days now. Since it contains steroids, I'm just a bit concerned if it's safe to keep using. Also, is there a safer alternative cream that might help reduce the redness? Would love some guidance on this.

If youve used Betnovate N for a few days and your infection is improving, thats good. However, if you want to avoid steroids in the long run, you can switch to an antibiotic-only cream, like Fusidic acid or Mupirocin, or consider mild alternatives like hydrocortisone or calamine lotion. Its always a good idea to consult your doctor or dermatologist for the best treatment plan,

View allI've noticed these brown spots on the head of my penis for the last couple of months, and they seem to be getting bigger. They dont itch or hurt, but I'm worried because they darken when I press or scratch them. I did some research and it looks like it might be penile melanosis, but I'm not really sure. It's starting to mess with my head a bit, you know? Health-wise, everything's the same, no issues there. I've been trying Sonaderm NM, but it's not making any difference. Can you tell me what steps I should take next? It's just these two patches on top, but I'm kind of concerned.
No need to worry about your condition that's harmless and usually no complications in future, visit Dermatologist and evaluation is required in order to prevent it from progressing.

I'm noticing that my left index fingernail is turning kind of yellowish or orangish. Is this something I should be worried about? I do smoke weed and cigarettes a lot, and I usually drink alcohol on weekends. Could these habits be causing it?
Yellowish or orangish discoloration of the nails can be a sign of a fungal infection or staining from smoking. It is important to address the underlying cause. You can try using an antifungal nail lacquer like Ciclopirox (8% solution) or Amorolfine (5% solution) daily for several months to treat a fungal infection. Additionally, quitting smoking and reducing alcohol consumption can also help improve the health of your nails.
