I'm dealing with nasal polyps in both of my nasal cavities and it's been really frustrating. I'm not sure what the best treatment options are. Can you guide me on what I should consider or expect when dealing with nasal polyps? And is there anything specific that has worked well for others or is usually recommended? It's been affecting my day-to-day life and I'd really appreciate some advice.

The treatment for nasal polyps typically involves the use of intranasal corticosteroids to reduce inflammation and shrink the polyps. I recommend using Flonase (fluticasone) nasal spray, 2 sprays in each nostril once daily. In addition, you can also use Nasacort (triamcinolone) nasal spray, 1-2 sprays in each nostril once daily. These medications can help improve symptoms and reduce the size of the nasal polyps.

View allI'm noticing a whooshing sound in my right ear that's in sync with my heartbeat. It seems to get louder whenever I run or climb stairs. What could be causing this? Should I be concerned?
Consider a second opinion from another ENT specialist or a maxillofacial surgeon. Discuss: 1. Repeat imaging tests (MRIultrasound) to monitor gland size. 2. Salivary gland function tests (e.g., salivary flow rate). 3. Biopsy or fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) to rule out underlying conditions. Explore treatment options, such as: 1. Medications to reduce gland size. 2. Surgical interventions (e.g., parotidectomy). 3. Lifestyle modifications (e.g., dietary changes, stress management).
