I'm dealing with these lipomas that are gradually getting bigger and I'm really worried about it. The doctor mentioned that surgery might actually cause them to come back, so I'm hesitant about that route. Do you know of any treatments that could help reduce their size or at least stop them from spreading? I'm hoping for a solution that avoids making things worse.

Lipomas can be challenging to manage. Since your doctor mentioned surgical treatment may lead to recurrence, consider the following alternative options to reduce their size:

Non-Surgical Treatments

  1. Steroid Injections: Injecting steroids into the lipoma can help reduce its size.
  2. Lipolysis: A non-surgical procedure that dissolves excess fat using deoxycholic acid injections.
  3. Cryolipolysis: A non-invasive procedure that freezes fat cells, reducing the lipoma's size.

Natural Remedies

  1. Turmeric: Curcumin in turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties that may help reduce lipoma size.
  2. Neem Oil: Applying neem oil topically may help reduce inflammation and lipoma size.
  3. Apple Cider Vinegar: Drinking apple cider vinegar may help reduce inflammation and promote fat breakdown.

Dietary Changes

  1. Increase Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon and flaxseeds, may help reduce inflammation.
  2. Eat Antioxidant-Rich Foods: Foods high in antioxidants, such as berries and leafy greens, may help reduce inflammation and promote overall health.

I've noticed that I've developed quite a few til on my face, and they seem to be increasing. I'm also seeing them appear on my neck and hands. What can I do to stop them from spreading and how do I get rid of them?

Excessive oil production on your face is often due to overactive sebaceous glands. While you cant completely stop oil production (and you shouldnt, as some oil is necessary for healthy skin), you can manage it effectively with the following steps: Cleanse properly, hydrate your skin, control shine during the day by carrying tissues to absorb the excess oil without disturbing makeup, adjust your diet, avoid heavy makeup, exfoliate weekly , use specialised treatments, manage stress.

I've been noticing some darkness on my lips and I'm considering a chemical peel to lighten them up. I'm curious, does a chemical peel really help with lip pigmentation? If it does work, is the effect going to be permanent or just temporary? I'm just not sure if its worth going through the procedure if the results won't last. Can you tell me more about what to expect?

I accidentally burned my leg with hot water and I've been using Silverex ointment, Burnosaf ointment, Lizolib, and taking Dalacin tablets. But there's still a lot of itching and pain. Do you have any advice on how to make this heal faster?

Burns can be painful and itchy, but with the right treatment, you can promote healing and reduce discomfort. Current Treatment You're already using: 1. Silverex ointment: Helps prevent infection and promotes healing. 2. Burnosaf ointment: Soothes and protects the skin. 3. Lizolib: An antibiotic ointment to prevent infection. 4. Dalacin tablet: An oral antibiotic to prevent infection. Additional Measures to Promote Healing and Reduce Discomfort 1. Keep the wound clean and dry: Gently clean the area with mild soap and lukewarm water. Pat dry with a clean towel. 2. Apply a topical anesthetic cream: Over-the-counter (OTC) creams like lidocaine or benzocaine can help numb the area, reducing pain and itching. 3. Use a cool compress: Apply a cool, wet compress to the affected area to reduce itching and discomfort. 4. Take an oral antihistamine: If the itching is severe, an OTC antihistamine like diphenhydramine (Benadryl) can help relieve itching and reduce the allergic response. 5. Keep the area moisturized: Once the wound is healed, apply a moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated and promote skin elasticity.
