I'm doing gargling and taking steam every day. Today, I had my COVID-19 test because my parents tested positive. I don't have any symptoms, but about an hour after the test, I started spitting blood mixed with saliva, and it happened about ten times. Could this be because of the throat swab test since they took my sample from the throat?

I've been having this pain right on the side of my Adam's apple, and it's pretty tender when I press on it from the outside. It really hurts when I swallow, but it's not like a regular sore throat 'cause it doesn't hurt at the back of my throat. It's more at the front, and if I tense up like before sneezing or when yawning, it hurts even more. What could be causing this? Should I be worried?
You may be experiencing inflammation or irritation in the area around your Adam's apple. This could be due to a condition called thyroiditis. I recommend taking ibuprofen (e.g. Advil) 400mg every 4-6 hours as needed for pain and inflammation. Additionally, you can try using a warm compress on the area to help alleviate the discomfort. If the pain persists or worsens, it's important to follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation and management.

I have small nasal polyps and want to avoid surgery are there any medicines that can help shrink them or manage the symptoms? I'm really worried about going under the knife and would prefer other options if possible
Yes, several medications can help shrink nasal polyps and manage symptoms, making surgery less likely or even unnecessary. Nasal corticosteroids, such as fluticasone, are often the first-line treatment to reduce inflammation and shrink polyps. In some cases, oral corticosteroids like prednisone, or biologic medications like dupilumab, may be used, especially for larger or more stubborn polyps. WebMD also mentions that combining topical and oral steroids can be more effective than topical steroids alone.
