I'm experiencing some issues and would appreciate your guidance. Since yesterday, I've been having loose motions and sour burps. Yesterday was toughI had a lot of stomach pain and just slept through most of the day, but the symptoms didn't seem to persist into the evening. However, today, as soon as I woke up, the loose motions started again with those same sour burps. Is this something serious or should I be worried enough to make a doctor's appointment? What could be causing these symptoms?

Given your situation, it's essential to consider the risks and benefits of immediate versus delayed surgery.

Risks of Delayed Surgery

  1. Increased risk of complications: A 17 mm stone is considered large, and delaying surgery may lead to complications, such as:
    • Gallstone pancreatitis
    • Cholecystitis (inflammation of the gallbladder)
    • Jaundice
  2. Potential for stone growth: The stone may continue to grow, making it more challenging to remove and increasing the risk of complications.
  3. Risk of gallbladder cancer: Although rare, a large stone like yours may increase the risk of gallbladder cancer.

Benefits of Immediate Surgery

  1. Reduced risk of complications: Removing the stone and gallbladder now can prevent potential complications.
  2. Less risk of stone growth: Removing the stone now will prevent it from growing larger and causing more problems.
  3. Improved quality of life: Surgery can alleviate anxiety and concerns about potential complications.

Recommendation

Considering your age and the size of the stone, it's recommended to undergo surgery as soon as possible. The risks of delayed surgery outweigh the benefits of waiting.

I'm really concerned right now. A couple of months ago, I had typhoid, but everything seemed fine afterward. I did an ultrasound and all my tests came back normal, so I went back to my usual diet. But recently, after a weekend of drinking more alcohol than usual, I experienced a hangover that felt really strange. I went to the hospital, and while most of my liver function test results were normal, my bilirubin levels were highBilirubin Total was 2.2, Direct was 0.9, and Indirect was 1.3. The ultrasound showed nothing abnormal, though. My doctor prescribed some ursodeoxycholic acid tablets and anti-reflux meds, and suggested we repeat the liver function test after 15 days. I'm pretty worried about this whole situation. Could this be linked to my past typhoid, or did the alcohol play a bigger role? What should I be keeping an eye on? This is stressing me out.

Can you help me understand the results of my fecalysis? The color's dark brown and the consistency is mushy. There's a note about microscopic pus cells at 02 HPF and red cells at 01 HPF, but it says no parasites or ova. It mentions many bacteria too. I'm wondering if everything looks normal to you.

The reports of your fecal analysis are predominantly normal, with no presence of parasites or ova. There is however an increased bacterial count in your report, which may be indicative of an infection, depending on your symptoms.
