I've been having stomach bloating since last night, and I'm not sure what's causing it. My doctor mentioned doing a chest X-ray and an IgE test. Could you help me understand how these might relate to the bloating and what they would show? I'm a bit worried about what's going on.

View allI recently got my liver function test results and I'm feeling a bit unsure. The results show my total bilirubin is 0.7 mgdl, direct bilirubin is 0.4 mgdl, and indirect bilirubin is 0.3 mgdl. I noticed that my direct bilirubin is 0.1 mgdl higher than the indirect bilirubin. Should I be worried about this? Is there anything specific I should be doing or looking into?

My 57-year-old uncle's ultrasound showed a few small 2mm echogenic foci in his gallbladder sludge or small calculi. Can this be managed with meds or does he need surgery?
For small gallbladder sludge or calculi (stones) less than 5mm, treatment often involves watchful waiting and lifestyle modifications. Surgery is generally not needed unless the sludge or stones cause symptoms or complications like bile duct blockage.
