I'm having trouble with my breathing and dealing with excessive coughing, plus a cold that's been hanging around for the past 15 days. It's definitely worse at night and in the morning. Any idea what might be going on or what I should do about it?

View allI've got this horrible chest congestion, and coughing is just unbearable because my whole chest hurts. Plus, there's this wheezing sound like a lion's roar every time I exhale. This all started after I decided to run for about five minutes, and it was my first attempt after nearly three months. I used to smoke but quit a year ago. I'm really worried about what's happening. Could you help me understand this?
start azithromycine 500mg for 5 days

I'm really concerned about my cousin brother who started his treatment for MDR-RR TB about 20 days ago. Despite being on medication, he's still coughing quite a bit. Could you let me know when the coughing might completely stop, and how long we should expect to continue the meds before seeing improvement?
After 3-7 days.

Is it possible for me to completely get rid of wheezing if I stick to a strict medication plan, diet, and exercise within a year? I've been eager to join marine engineering since I was a kid, and I really need to get myself fully prepared for it. I've been dealing with wheezing for the past couple of years, mostly in the mornings when I wake up, but sometimes it happens at other times too. I'm set to join a marine college next year after finishing my BTech, and I need to be in top-notch medical condition. I'm thinking about starting swimming and running every day with the right medical advice and proper diet. Do you think this could help me get fit enough, without any wheezing issues, in a year's time?
Pulmonologist opinion is advised to the patient.
