I'm having trouble taking deep breaths lately. Sometimes I can manage it, but I mostly end up breathing through my mouth. This has been going on for about three weeks. I used to have other issues like stiffness in my fingers in the morning and pain in my right shoulder and upper arm, but those have either gone away or are getting better. I had a blood test back in January that showed high ESR and low platelets, but I feel okay now except for the deep breathing issue. What could be causing this?

View allI'm currently using a Seroflo 250 inhaler and I've read that it contains steroids. I'm a bit concerned about having to use this medication for the rest of my life. Could you please explain if there are any potential side effects or complications I should be aware of? I'm really looking for some clarity on this.
Long-term use of Seroflo 250 inhaler, containing Salmeterol and Fluticasone (a steroid), may lead to potential side effects, including oral thrush, hoarseness, coughing, headaches, and increased risk of pneumonia, osteoporosis, and cataracts; however, the benefits of controlling asthma symptoms often outweigh the risks

I've had this persistent cough for about two weeks now and I've been trying different cough syrups. I started with Benadryl, but it didn't really seem to help. Then, my doctor suggested I try BroZedex, which gave me some relief, but it wasn't perfect. I also used Gokof by Fizikem, which made it a bit better, but the cough is still hanging on. What else can I try to get rid of this cough?
