I'm pretty sure I've got a canker sore on my palatoglossal arch, and it's been growing. There's no headache or stomach pain, just pain right where the ulcer seems to be. If it's not a canker sore, what else could it be? It's been around for a week now and isn't showing any signs of shrinking or healing. What should I do to treat it? I'm starting to get a bit worried.

consult a ENT specialist for further management. Any long standing ulcer should be biopsied and ruled out for malignancy.

I've bitten the inside of my lip by mistake, and it's gotten pretty swollen now. It's really making eating and talking tough. What should I do about it?

You can try using an over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen to help reduce the swelling and pain. Additionally, you can apply a topical oral gel containing lidocaine to help numb the area and provide some relief. Make sure to eat soft foods and avoid spicy or acidic foods that may irritate the area further. If the swelling persists or worsens, it would be best to consult with a doctor for further evaluation and treatment.

You may have developed a mouth ulcer due to the injury. To help with the pain and promote healing, you can use a topical oral gel containing Choline Salicylate and Cetalkonium Chloride. Apply the gel directly to the ulcer 3-4 times a day after meals and at bedtime. Additionally, you can take Ibuprofen 400mg tablets as needed for pain relief.
