I'm really concerned about a lump I've noticed slightly behind where my left tonsil was removed about 8 years ago. It doesn't hurt and seems to be the same color as the rest of my throat. I don't have any trouble eating, but when I dry swallow or just swallow saliva, it feels like there's phlegm stuck in my throat. It's been there for a couple of months now, and I'm just so aware of it all the time. Is it something I should be worried about, like throat cancer? I've attached a picture too.

My mom has moderate hearing loss in her left ear and sometimes hears abnormal sounds, but there's no pain. The doctor suggested surgery and did an HRCT of the temporal bone. I'm not sure if surgery is the only option right now are there any alternative treatments we should consider?

Yes, besides surgery, alternative treatments for moderate hearing loss and tinnitus include hearing aids, tinnitus retraining therapy, and potentially certain medications. The best approach depends on the cause of the hearing loss and tinnitus, as determined by the HRCT of the temporal bone and other diagnostic tests.

I've been dealing with a sore throat for three months, and it's really starting to get to me. I've tried a bunch of antibiotics and syrups, but nothing seems to work. I'm worried it might be something more serious since its not going away. Could you suggest what else I should try or what might be going on? I'm really looking for some advice here.

I've been dealing with constant ear blockages and this uncomfortable feeling in my throat and chest ever since I got over COVID three months ago. It's weird because whenever I try to spit, I get this sharp pain in my ear, throat, and chest all at once. I feel like there's something stuck in my throat, and it's getting hard to breathe sometimes. Could this be related to post-COVID symptoms? I also had anxiety and palpitations after COVID and was on ivabradine and Nexito Plus. Any idea what's going on with me?

The pain under the left side of the tongue could be due to: 1. Sublingual gland infection or inflammation 2. Salivary gland stone 3. Lingual tonsillitis 4. Trauma or injury 5. Oral cancer (rarely) Consult an ENT specialist or an oral surgeon for a thorough evaluation and diagnosis. They may recommend: 1. Imaging tests (e.g., ultrasound, CT scan) 2. Biopsy or fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) 3. Antibiotics or anti-inflammatory medications
