I'm really worried about my dad. Ever since he had an angioplasty about 20 days ago, he's been dealing with a lot of vomiting. It seems like he can't keep any solids down, except for fruits, ragi malt, and some dosas. Should I be concerned, and what might be causing this?

View allI've recently had my gallbladder removed due to gallstones, and before the surgery, I was experiencing high levels of SGOT, SGPT, and bilirubin. An endoscopy confirmed the gallstones, leading to the surgery. Now, after the surgery, I've had three liver function tests over a 10-day period. While the SGOT and SGPT levels are back to normal, my bilirubin total is still around 2.3. Is this normal after having my gallbladder removed?
After gallbladder removal surgery, it is not uncommon for bilirubin levels to be slightly elevated. However, a total bilirubin level of around 2.3 may still be within the normal range depending on the reference values used by the laboratory. It is important to monitor your bilirubin levels closely and follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation if needed. In the meantime, you can consider taking medications like Ursodiol to help with bile flow and digestion post gallbladder removal.

I've been dealing with a fissure for 5 years now and the pain is unbearable I've tried multiple hospitals but I'm really scared of surgery. Is there any hope for relief without going under the knife? What other options might work for long-term healing?

Can I live a normal life with Crohn's disease? I'm in college and dream of becoming a scientist, but I've heard this condition is considered a disability and might need lifelong surgeries. Will I ever be able to have a regular life? Feeling really down and could use some advice open to an online consultation.
