I'm really worried about my dad. He's been having this thick, yellow, milky mucus with a little bit of blood in it from his nose in the mornings. The rest of the day, there's no blood, just yellow-green mucus, even though it's been two weeks since he started antibiotics. He was prescribed Azithromycin for five days and Doxycycline twice daily. Twice he coughed up some blood, but it stopped on the same day. Now, he's mostly coughing up white, thick phlegm. This started after his fever went away. What do you think might be going on? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

View allI'm really worried about my dad. He had COVID recently and now the doctor mentioned that he has some kind of fistula in his left lung. I'm not sure what this means for his recovery or his health in general. Could you explain what a fistula in the lung is and how serious it might be? Is it something that happens because of COVID infections, and what kind of treatment should he expect?

I'm starting to worry a bit because even after 25 days of taking the prescribed medication for COVID-19 and sticking to all the protocols, a positive test result is still showing up. There aren't any symptoms at the moment, but my dad's SpO2 levels are all over the place. They dip to around 93 in the evening but shoot back up to a normal 98 when he wakes up in the morning. Should I be concerned about this fluctuation? Is this considered normal?

What should a person's oxygen saturation level be in the morning right after waking up? My dad's SPO2 is generally above 92 throughout the day, but it seems to dip to around 87 in the morning. Is this something normal, or should I be concerned?
Its not normal, check his pulmonary functions,it might be falling even more during night soo, visit Pulmonologist for evaluation and follow up.
