I'm really worried about my wife; she's in her 9th month of pregnancy and has been dealing with a cough that's turned into something more over the past couple of months. It started as a dry cough, but now she ends up vomiting in short bursts right after she coughs. She's been taking Sandocal, uprise D3 1k, Ferosyl, and Grilinctus cough syrup. We've also tried antibiotics prescribed by doctors, but nothing seems to help. Can anyone explain what's going on or give us some advice on what to do next?

View allI'm really worried because I did a medical abortion back in December last year when I was 4 weeks pregnant. I went through all the bleeding and even passed tissues and clots. Afterward, I got my periods in February and March, and my home pregnancy tests are negative. But I've noticed my stomach is growing, and I can't figure out why this is happening. I don't have any complications or pregnancy symptoms, but ultrasound isn't an option for me right now due to some family issues. What could be causing this?
Possible Causes of Spleen Enlargement* 1. *Fatty liver*: Although your fatty liver is grade 1, it might be contributing to the spleen enlargement. 2. *Portal hypertension*: Elevated bilirubin (1.6) and liver enzymes (SGOTSGPT) could indicate portal hypertension, which can cause spleen enlargement. 3. *Other potential causes*: Although your tests were mostly normal, other possible causes of spleen enlargement include lymphoma, leukemia, or a spleen disorder. *Recommendations* 1. *Follow-up ultrasound*: Schedule a follow-up ultrasound in 2-3 months to monitor the spleen size. 2. *Liver health*: Continue with udiliv 300 and vitamin E to support liver health. 3. *Weight management*: Maintain your weight loss efforts, as excess weight can exacerbate fatty liver and spleen enlargement. 4. *Consult a gastroenterologist*: Seek a consultation with a gastroenterologist to further investigate the cause of spleen enlargement and fatty liver.

Can I get pregnant with irregular period?
Yes, if sexual intercourse occurs during ovulation time then you can get pregnant. Ovulation time is from day 12 to day 17 (first day of period counted as day 1) usually in women with regular periods. In women with iregular periods, ovulation can happen anytime, thereby not knowing the time to do sexual intercourse.

I'm a bit worried and curious about when it's safe to have sex after my wife had a family planning operation on 9th August 2017. We have two daughters, and I'm just trying to make sure we're doing everything right. How long should we wait?
After a tubectomy (family planning operation), it's generally recommended to wait for 7-14 days before resuming sexual intercourse to allow the body to heal and reduce the risk of complications or infection;
