I'm really worried about what's going on with me. I woke up on Sunday with a sore throat and now both my tonsils are super swollen, red, and have these white spots all over them. Plus, my uvula has these weird red dots. Swallowing is so painful, and my lymph nodes are really tender. What could be causing all this and should I be worried?

Unsettling ear sounds can be disturbing!
The "gu gu gu" or motor-like sound in your right ear could be:
- Tinnitus: A common condition characterized by ringing, buzzing, or other sounds in the ear.
- Eustachian tube dysfunction: The tube connecting the middle ear to the back of the throat might be blocked, causing unusual sounds.
- Earwax buildup: Excess earwax can cause strange noises, especially when lying down.
- Middle ear muscle spasms: Tiny muscles in the middle ear can contract and cause sounds.
To alleviate the issue:
- Consult an ENT specialist: For a thorough examination and diagnosis.
- Try ear drops: To help dissolve excess earwax.
- Use a white noise machine: To mask the sound while sleeping.
- Avoid loud noises: And take regular breaks in quiet environments.
Keep in mind that these sounds can be intermittent and might resolve on their own. However, it's essential to consult a specialist to rule out any underlying conditions.

View allI'm curious about something. I managed to quit smoking using nicotine gums and did pretty well with it, but now I'm dealing with a sore throat, some irritation, and phlegm issues. I was using the 4mg gum, usually around 2 or 3 pieces a day, and now I just occasionally need a piece. I'm wondering if the nicotine gum could be harmful and if I should think about stopping completely?

I'm having this constant throat irritation and it gets even worse after I eat. It feels like there's something stuck, and I just want to clear my throat all the time. It's really bothering me, especially at night, and it's making it hard for me to sleep. Do you have any idea why this might be happening or how I can ease this discomfort?

My 13-year-old daughter has been having these blood clots coming out of her nose and she's even coughing them up too. They vary in size from a quarter to bigger than her hand. She had her nose cauterized about a month ago, but it's not helping. She's had this issue before, but it usually stopped within a week after the procedure. This time she's never had clots that she's coughed up. What's going on here and what should we do?
Consult ENT surgeon ASAP to look out the source of bleeding and blood investigations if required
