I'm really worried because I got a cotton wool bud stuck in my ear. The doctor couldnt get it out since its so close to my eardrum, and now Im just waiting for the hospital to contact me for an appointment. But now I've come down with a sore throat and a headache. Could these symptoms be because my ear is blocked?

Having a sore throat and headache is unlikely to directly cause your ear to be blocked by the cotton wool bud. However, it is possible that the blocked ear, along with the discomfort and stress associated with it, could be contributing to your sore throat and headache. It is important to address the blocked ear as soon as possible to prevent any further complications. In the meantime, you can take over-the-counter pain relief medication such as paracetamol for your headache and sore throat.
