I'm really worried because I've been feeling breathless for the past two days and I've noticed swelling in my right leg and hand. I've been taking Dytor 40mg every day, but it doesn't seem to be helping. Could this be something serious? What should I do next?

It sounds like you might be experiencing fluid retention, which could be related to heart or kidney function. Since you're on Dytor without improvement, it's important to follow up with a doctor urgently for a thorough evaluation, including heart and kidney function tests, to determine the cause of your symptoms.

View allI've been having chest pain for a couple of days now, and it's pretty constant, especially when I'm just sitting or lying down. Plus, sometimes I get this pain in my shoulder and neck, and even occasionally a stomach ache. I'm 20, I don't smoke or drink, and I'm not overweight. Could this be something serious like a heart attack or angina? I'm kinda worried and not sure what to do.
Based on your symptoms and age, it is less likely to be a heart attack or angina. However, chest pain should never be ignored. It is important to rule out any serious conditions. You may be experiencing musculoskeletal pain or acid reflux. I recommend taking over-the-counter antacids like Tums for stomach ache and trying ibuprofen for pain relief. If the symptoms persist or worsen, please consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and management.

My dad had some trouble with his breathing yesterday, so we rushed him to the hospital, and they said it's mitral stenosis. I'm really worried. Is this something serious? What steps should we be taking now?

So, I'm curious about why we need to take blood pressure meds like Coversyl indefinitely. What's the medical reason behind this? Why can't high blood pressure be treated permanently?
