I'm really worried because I've developed a bacterial infection on my nails, and I think it might be due to using detergent powder. It's even spreading to my fingers. What should I do to treat this, and should I stop using that soap? Is there something specific I need to apply or any particular habits I should change to prevent it from getting worse?

Bacterial infection on nails and fingers due to detergent powder exposure can be treated with an antibiotic ointment containing Neomycin and Bacitracin. Apply the ointment to the affected nails and fingers twice daily for 1-2 weeks. In severe cases, oral antibiotics like Amoxicillin 500mg three times a day for 7-10 days may be necessary. Additionally, keep the affected area clean and dry, and avoid further exposure to the detergent powder to prevent recurrence.

While that's encouraging, I'm feeling a bit anxious about what the future might hold. Could you help me understand what to expect long-term with these treatments and if theres anything I should watch out for?
no need to worry just keep a check on any unusual patches, maintain healthy life style with balanced diet and extra protein will help you.

I've had my ears pierced for almost five years but just noticed a bump next to the piercing on my left ear two days ago. It's not too hard or soft, only hurts when pressed, and has shrunk from its original dome shape. I don't think it's a keloid since those grow inside the piercing could it be an abscess or a boil? I'm worried I might need surgery but hoping for a home remedy if possible.

I'm dealing with really bad scalp itching and dandruff, and my doctor recommended using medicated shampoos with alternate-day head baths. But I have an eye surgery coming up next week and can't wash my hair for at least 15 days after. How can I manage the itching and dandruff without taking head baths during that time?
To manage dandruff and scalp itching before and after eye surgery without frequent hair washing, consider using medicated shampoos less frequently, employing natural remedies like coconut oil or apple cider vinegar rinses, and focusing on scalp hygiene with dry shampoo and gentle cleansing methods. Consult your doctor about using a medicated shampoo with a longer interval between washes or trying alternative treatments like topical corticosteroids if needed.
