I'm really worried because my blood pressure has been super high for the last few hours, reading 197 over 111. I'm feeling a lot of discomfort and it's making me nervous. Could this be hypertension or something else I should be concerned about? What should I do right now?

High blood pressure with readings of 197111 is a cause for concern and may require immediate medical attention. You can take Amlodipine (brand name Norvasc) 10mg to help lower your blood pressure. It is important to consult a doctor for further evaluation and management.

View allI'm a bit concerned about my mom's heart condition. She had an angina PCI a few years ago and had two stents placed in her LAD and RCA. After five years, her doctor stopped clopidogrel and now she's only on aspirin and atorvastatin. I'm just wondering, does this sound right to you? Should we be worried about taking her off clopidogrel? Would love some advice on this.
Clopidogrel and atorvastatin both do the same action that it control the lipid profile. So if she is taking aspirin and atorvastatin, i don't think there is a problem. It's perfect. No need to take both atorvastatin and clopidogrel.

I'm a bit worried because my pulse rate is always between 95 and 120. I have high blood pressure and I'm on Olmat 20. Right now, with the digital machine, my blood pressure is reading around 130 to 145 over 85 to 100. Why is my pulse rate high, and is there any treatment I should consider?

I'm really worried about my dad's blood pressure. It was high at 160110 before, but after he started taking Metocard XL 25 and Triolmesar 20 for about a month, it's dropped to 8772, measured with a digital Omron monitor. Do you think he should keep taking his current medication or adjust the dose? Also, he's diabetic and taking Glyciphage SR 500 and Tenlimac 20. Plus, he's being treated for prostate issues with Maxvoid 8. Could all these medications be affecting his blood pressure too much? What would be the best course of action?
Given the significant drop in blood pressure from 160110 to 8772, it is important to reassess the medication regimen. In this case, it is advisable to consult with your father's healthcare provider to adjust the dosage or possibly consider discontinuing one of the antihypertensive medications. Lowering the dose of Metocard XL 25 or Triolmesar 20 may be necessary to prevent hypotension, especially considering his current blood pressure readings. Regular monitoring and coordination with his healthcare provider are essential to ensure optimal management of his hypertension while taking into account his diabetes and prostate issues.
