I'm really worried because my dad found a lump near his anus. My mom and I took a look with a torch, and it's a bump right on the side. He's been in pain, and it's making it hard for him to go to the bathroom, like it's partially blocking things. I'm wondering, could this lump be cancerous? And if it's not, is there a way to treat it without needing surgery?

It is probably an external hemorrhoid. For the treatment of hemorrhoids, there are various over-the-counter medications available in India such as Smuth cream, Anovate ointment, and Proctosedyl ointment. These medications can help reduce pain, inflammation, and itching associated with hemorrhoids. Additionally, lifestyle modifications such as increasing fiber intake, staying hydrated, and avoiding straining during bowel movements can also help manage hemorrhoids. However, if the hemorrhoid does not improve with conservative measures, surgical options such as rubber band ligation or hemorrhoidectomy may be considered. It is best to consult a doctor for a proper evaluation and personalized treatment plan based on the severity of the condition.

View allCan piles at stage 3 be cured without surgery? I'm looking for ways to heal faster and need advice on medicines that can help manage symptoms better
While surgery is often recommended for stage 3 piles, it's not always the only solution. Non-surgical treatments like rubber band ligation, sclerotherapy, or electrotherapy can be effective, especially for internal hemorrhoids. These procedures work by reducing blood flow to the hemorrhoids, causing them to shrink. Additionally, addressing the underlying cause of the piles, such as constipation, with lifestyle changes like a high-fiber diet and adequate hydration, can help manage symptoms and prevent further progression
