I'm seeing these itchy red bumps that look like pimples on my forearms and ears. They first appeared two days ago on my hands and ears but have now spread to my forearms. They're not on my biceps or shoulders, which are usually covered by my t-shirt. Could this be related to the weather change? I was driving in the sun two days ago during the daytime and started noticing these patches afterward. What do you think?

Causes*

  1. Sun Allergy (Polymorphic Light Eruption): Exposure to sunlight, especially during peak hours, can trigger an allergic reaction, leading to itchy red bumps.
  2. Phototoxicity: Certain medications or skincare products can react with sunlight, causing a phototoxic reaction, which may present with similar symptoms.
  3. Contact Dermatitis: Exposure to an allergen or irritant, such as soap, detergent, or plant sap, can cause a skin reaction, especially on exposed areas like forearms and ears.
  4. Heat Rash (Miliaria): Prolonged exposure to heat and sunlight can cause heat rash, characterized by small, itchy bumps.

Next Steps

  1. Seek shade and avoid further sun exposure: Until the symptoms resolve, limit your time in the sun, especially during peak hours.
  2. Apply cool compresses: To reduce itching and inflammation, apply a cool, wet compress to the affected areas.
  3. Use topical creams or ointments: Over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream or calamine lotion can help alleviate itching and inflammation.

I've been noticing these dark bruise-like marks showing up on my lower legs for the last 8 months, and no matter what, they just won't fade away. It's kind of worrying me because they keep increasing. I am on the heavier side, and I'm wondering if my weight might be causing these haematomas, especially when there's pressure on certain spots of my legs. I've talked to a couple of doctors, but none seem to really get what's going on or how to treat it. Is there something else I could try, or some insight I might be missing?

I'm dealing with this issue where my palm is getting darker, and a dermatologist mentioned it's hyperpigmentation. I've already tried medications from two different specialists, but it hasnt helped at all. I used to stay up really late for about 6-7 years, around 12 years ago. Im also a vegan. Could any of these be related to whats going on with my skin? I'm really curious about what else I can do to sort this out.

Hyperpigmentation of palms occur because of various causes like deficiency of vitamin B12, Addison's disease , malabsorption syndrome etc. So you need some investigation to exclude these conditions. Meet a dermatologist. Start vitaminB12 supplements.

I've been dealing with hives for the last three months, and it's been pretty frustrating. My dermatologist put me on Allegra and Elina Tablet for a month. But as soon as I stopped the meds, the hives came back. I was told to continue Elina for another 40 days, but they returned the day after I finished the course. Is there really no long-term solution for hives? I'm getting really tired of this cycle.
