I'm supposed to get a Tympanoplasty because both of my eardrums have holes. Do you know how much this might cost in Pune? Also, what kind of precautions do I need to take after the surgery, and how many days should I plan to take off work to recover?

View allI'm a bit concerned because I have this white spot on my right tonsil. There's no pain or fever with it, but I'm still curious about what it could be. Should I be worried about it, or is it something that's generally harmless?
If it is not causing any symptoms forget about it and maintain oral hygiene.

I've been dealing with this issue for about 10 months now, and it's really stressing me out. It all began with some pain in my neck, and I felt like there was a weird mass or something abnormal inside. I went to a doc in ST Jones Bangalore, and he suggested an ultrasound, which showed a submandibular gland infection. He put me on a 7-day antibiotic course, twice, but it didn't help. Then they did an FNAC, but nothing was found, and I got another round of antibiotics, still with no improvement. After that, the doc recommended a biopsy, so I went over to Manipal hospital for another opinion. There, another ultrasound was done, which now didn't show any gland issues but indicated a mild swelling in the lymph node. Again, I was given a 7-day antibiotic, and still, nothing's changed. I've been to the doctor four times now, and they're just giving me medicine. But my pain is getting worse every day, and I'm really scared that it might be something serious. The symptoms keep changing, too. Lately, I feel numbness on my left side and head and have trouble swallowing and chewing. Could you advise me on what to do next?
It sounds like you have been experiencing a complex medical issue with your submandibular gland and lymph nodes. Given the persistent symptoms and lack of improvement with antibiotics, it may be necessary to consider other treatment options. Considering the evolving symptoms and the need for further evaluation, I would recommend seeking a consultation with an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) specialist for a detailed examination and a possible referral for additional tests or procedures.
