Im thinking about getting a PFT test because my doctor suggested it for peace of mind. A few months back, I was dealing with thick phlegm and sputum due to bronchitis, and my doctor prescribed some meds that got me back to normal. But just to be safe, I'm considering a PFT test and maybe a CT chest scan and lung scan. Are the CT chest scan and lung scan the same thing, or are they different? Also, what should I do to prepare for them? Any advice would be really helpful.

I'm really worried about him. He recently got over COVID but now has this lung infection. His HCRT was at 1525 back in May, but when he got out of the hospital at the end of the month, it was down to 1125. His other tests like CRP and D-dimer seem normal, but he's been having some issues. He gets constipated, and in the mornings, he starts coughing a lot which gets better after he freshens up and burps. Similar thing happens after dinner; he coughs until he belches and then it's like back to normal. He keeps feeling like there's something stuck in his neck.
