I'm trying to figure out the right time for some tests after my period. How many days should I wait for my blood and urine tests to give accurate results? Also, do you think it's necessary to have a physical examination of the vagina to check for a fungal infection? I'm a bit worried and would appreciate your advice.

For accurate blood and urine tests, it's ideal to wait at least 5-7 days after your period ends, as hormone levels and other factors can fluctuate during menstruation. Regarding fungal infections, a physical examination of the vagina is often required to accurately diagnose and treat the condition, as visual inspection and sometimes a swab are necessary for confirmation.

View allI'm really concerned about my mom. She's in a lot of pain in her abdomen and her menstrual bleeding is pretty heavy. Her hemoglobin level came back at 7.8 gm, which seems low. The sonography shows a bulky uterus. What could be causing all these symptoms? Do you think she might need surgery, or could it be treated with medication?
Can be indicative of conditions such as fibroids, adenomyosis, or endometriosis. The treatment will depend on the underlying cause. In the case of fibroids or adenomyosis, medications such as Tranexamic acid can help with heavy menstrual bleeding. For pain relief, your mother can take Ibuprofen. If the symptoms are severe and affecting her quality of life, surgery may be considered. It is important to consult with a gynecologist for a proper evaluation and treatment plan.

I'm experiencing really low menstrual bleeding this month, not stopping completely though. It seems to only happen when I'm super active or during urination. I'm worried about what could be causing this. Any ideas?
Its possible that your low menstrual flow could be due to hormonal fluctuations, stress, or changes in your activity levels. It may also be linked to your recent health history, including any underlying conditions. If this continues or worsens, it's important to consult a doctor for a thorough evaluation.
