I'm trying to get my blood pressure under control quickly. My cholesterol and creatinine levels are normal according to recent tests. I'm 6 feet tall, weigh 105 kg, and work from home. My BP reading was 14080. Could you suggest a tablet that would help control it?

Cholesterol is normal as per Lipid profile and creatinine is normal after test. My height is 6 feet and weight is 105 kg, work from home. BP showing: 14080. Please suggest me a tablet to get control. Based on your information, with a blood pressure reading of 14080, you can consider taking Amlodipine 5mg. It is a commonly prescribed medication for high blood pressure. However, it is important to consult with your doctor for proper evaluation and monitoring.

I'm a 30-year-old male and last night, I suddenly experienced a spike in my blood pressure and heart rate. I was feeling restless for about 2-3 hours, and my blood pressure even hit 16090 with my heart rate jumping between 95-120 BPM. Even now, my heart rate feels a bit on the higher side, around 90-100 BPM. I'm using a mobile app to monitor these, so I'm not entirely sure how accurate they are. Also, I've got a mild issue with kidney stones, specifically oxylate stones, and they give me some abdominal pain even though nothing showed up on the ultrasound. Should I be worried about these symptoms, or do you think they're related to my kidney stones?

It sounds like you may be experiencing symptoms of anxiety or a panic attack, which can cause a sudden increase in blood pressure and heart rate. However, given your history of kidney stones and abdominal pain, it's important to monitor your symptoms closely. To help manage your symptoms, you can consider taking a beta-blocker medication such as Metoprolol (50mg) to help lower your heart rate and blood pressure. Additionally, practicing relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or mindfulness meditation may also be beneficial in reducing anxiety levels. It's important to follow up with your healthcare provider for a proper evaluation and management plan, especially considering your history of kidney stones. Regular monitoring and follow-up are essential in your case.

I've been monitoring my blood pressure daily for the past month, and it usually fluctuates between 95 to 105, with 100 over 70 being quite common. I'm a bit concerned if this is considered normal for my age. What might be causing these readings, and should I be worried about them not going above 105?

Your blood pressure readings of 10070 with fluctuations between 95 to 105 are considered low but generally not concerning if you are not experiencing any symptoms. However, it is important to monitor your blood pressure regularly and consult with a healthcare professional for a proper evaluation. The fluctuation in blood pressure could be due to various factors such as dehydration, stress, lack of physical activity, certain medications, or underlying health conditions. To help maintain a stable blood pressure, you can focus on staying well-hydrated, managing stress through relaxation techniques, incorporating regular exercise into your routine, and ensuring a balanced diet. If you experience any symptoms such as dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting, it is important to seek medical advice promptly.

I've been using my Fitbit for a few weeks and noticed my heart rate usually tops out at 120 BPM. But today, while just walking, it spiked to 162 BPM in the afternoon. What might be causing this? Is this something I should be worried about?

Probable diagnosis is ventricular fibrillation. Advised an ecg, cardiac markers and echo for evaluation..
