I'm wondering if fasting is necessary for a Vitamin B12 blood test. I had mine done about 3 hours after lunch, and now I'm second-guessing whether that might have affected the results. Should I think about getting it retested?

I'm really worried about my dad. He's tested positive for COVID, and hes been feeling unwell for about a week now. We got him tested two days ago, and he had a fever and body aches for three days, but now his symptoms aren't as bad. His CT value in the RTPCR test came back as 16.
