A Vitamin B12 blood test does not typically require fasting. It is usually safe to have the test done at any time of the day, regardless of when you last ate. Since you had the test done 3+ hours after lunch, there is no need for a retest. The results should still provide valuable information about your Vitamin B12 levels.

I'm a bit concerned because I've been feeling some slight pain in my lower left rib area for the past 10 days. It's mostly noticeable when I lie down on my bed for a few seconds. It doesn't feel like the rib bones themselves are hurting, but more like something underneath or nearby them.
