I'm worried about my dad because he's been dealing with this really bad fever, cough, and phlegm for over a week now. The doctor said it's BronchoPneumonia after looking at his test results. His CRP was 225, and both his chest x-ray results showed increased bronchovascular markings and prominent hila in the lungs. He's been on Augmentin 625 for five days, which seems to help since his fever dropped to 99 and CRP is now 51, but the x-ray looks the same. Is it normal for the x-ray not to show improvement yet? Should I be worried about something else, and how long does it usually take to see changes in the x-ray?

View allI'm really worried about this report. It says my loved one has Klebsiella pneumonia in their lungs and the bacteria seems resistant to most antibiotics, except for colistin and amikacin. Also, it's mentioned as carbapenemase resistantshould I be really concerned about that? And there's something about a colony count of 104 cfuml. What exactly does that mean and how serious is this situation?
it means the patient cannot be treated with the antibiotics which are resistant

I've been dealing with this really bad cough for almost 20 days now. It's mostly at night and comes with mild yellow sputum. Sometimes, the coughing gets so bad that I feel breathless, and its tough to even sit up straight. I havent had any fever, body pain, or other symptoms like COVID-19, and I havent traveled or been in contact with anyone who could've been sick. Ive tried nebulizers, steam, gargling, but nothing seems to help. What could be causing this, and how can I find some relief?
do a chest xray

I've been dealing with a cough for about a week now, and it's starting to make it hard for me to breathe. Do you have any advice on what I should do?
It sounds like you may be experiencing a respiratory infection. I recommend taking Robitussin or Mucinex to help relieve your cough and improve your breathing. These medications can help loosen mucus and make coughing more productive. Additionally, you may consider using a humidifier at home to help ease your symptoms. If your symptoms persist or worsen, you will need a strong course of antibiotics, for which your need to go to the hospital.
