I'm Zac and I've been having some issues lately. My tonsils have turned a yellow color, and it's been going on for a few days now. They seem to be getting worse, and there are more spots than before. About a month ago, I had a lot of swelling and pain in the same area. I'm really worried about what's causing all this. Any advice?

Pain in the jaw and throat area can be puzzling.

Tonsillitis typically causes sore throat, fever, and difficulty swallowing.

Your symptoms, focused on the outer throat and jaw, might suggest alternative causes:

  • Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder
  • Jaw alignment issues
  • Referred pain from dental problems

Consider consulting an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialist or a dentist for a thorough evaluation.

I'm dealing with granular pharyngitis at the back of my throat and it's been really uncomfortable. I've already tried two rounds of antibiotics, but they haven't made any difference. I'm honestly quite worried about what I should do next. Any advice would be really appreciated.

No need to worry such conditions would need long term treatment, visit your ENT doctor for evaluation and appropriate treatment.

I've been diagnosed with reactive lymphoid hyperplasia for the past couple of months. I'm really concerned and wondering if it's something that can be cured on its own, or if surgery might be necessary. Could you provide some insights on this?

Surgery (usually in the form of a biopsy or excision) may be considered if: The swelling persists for a long time without improvement or becomes very large. The doctor suspects there might be another cause (like lymphoma or another serious condition). The lymph nodes are causing other physical symptoms (such as difficulty swallowing, breathing, or other issues due to the pressure they cause).

I'm worried about my 10-year-old son because he has some wax built up in his ears. I've heard about using Clearwax ear drops, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Can you give me some advice on how to use them properly to clean his ears? Are there any side effects I should be worried about?

Instill two drops in each ear three times in a day,the wax would come out on its own,do not attempt to remove it.
