Is it alright to keep using mometasone furoate cream on my eyelids and above my lips? I've been on this medication for about a year and it works great, but I came across some articles that say maybe it shouldn't be used on those areas. Should I be worried or stop using it there?

Mometasone furoate cream is a potent topical corticosteroid. While it can be effective, using it on sensitive areas like eyelids and above the lips for an extended period (1 year) may pose risks:
Risks on Eyelids:
- Skin thinning: Prolonged use can cause skin thinning, making eyelids more prone to injury.
- Glaucoma: Long-term use around the eyes may increase the risk of glaucoma.
- Cataracts: Prolonged use may also increase the risk of cataracts.
Risks Above the Lips:
- Skin thinning: Similar to eyelids, skin thinning can occur, making the area more sensitive.
- Perioral dermatitis: Long-term use can lead to perioral dermatitis, a skin condition characterized by redness, bumps, and itching.

I have a lot of moles on my neck and throat, and they don't look great. Is there any way to remove them without surgery? I'm a bit worried about how they look and want to explore other options first.
Yes, it's possible to remove moles without surgery, but it's crucial to have them evaluated by a doctor first to rule out any potential concerns, especially if you're worried about their appearance or a possible link to skin cancer. Several non-surgical methods can be used, such as laser removal, cryotherapy (freezing), electrocautery (burning), and chemical peels.
