I've been dealing with a cough and cold for the last few days, and just recently, my left ear has started to ring. Could this tinnitus be related to the cold and cough? It's really persistent and not going away. What's going on?

I'm feeling really anxious because I went to the dentist for an emergency treatment today and now I've suddenly got this urge to cough. It feels like there's something stuck in my throat. Patient is advised tab augmentin 625 mg ,orally, thrice daily for 7 days, tab levocetrizine 10 mg bedtime for 5 days and syrup salbutamol 10 ml thrice dailly for 7 days .
