I've been dealing with a dry cough for the past ten days and it's starting to really worry me. The doctors prescribed medications like Allegra M, Zerodol SP, Hetrazan, Medlor, and Azithromycin, but they don't seem to be working well. Plus, Ive been sweating excessively. Dry cough tends to be a common issue for me. Could you tell me if there's something else I should try or be concerned about?

Next Steps
- Re-evaluate diet: Keep a food diary to identify trigger foods, and consider a low-FODMAP diet.
- Increase fiber intake: Gradually add fiber-rich foods to help regulate bowel movements.
- Probiotics: Consider adding probiotics to your diet, either through supplements or probiotic-rich foods like yogurt.
- Further testing: Discuss further testing with your doctor, such as:
- Endoscopy or colonoscopy
- Lactose or fructose intolerance tests
- SIBO (Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth) breath test
- Specialized care: If symptoms persist, consider consulting a gastroenterologist for specialized care.
Lifestyle Changes
- Eat smaller, more frequent meals: Reduce symptoms by eating smaller meals.
- Avoid trigger foods: Identify and avoid foods that exacerbate symptoms.
- Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help with digestion.
- Exercise regularly: Regular physical activity can help alleviate symptoms.
Please Note
- Consult your doctor: Before making any significant changes to your diet or lifestyle.
- Seek emergency care: If you experience severe abdominal pain, vomiting, or bloody stools.

View allMy 62-year-old mom has been dealing with pleural fluid buildup in her left lung for about 8 months now. We've done all sorts of tests, like bronchoscopy, pleural biopsy, ANA blot test, and checked for CEA and CA125 levels, and thankfully, both tuberculosis and malignancy have been ruled out. But now, the doctor has suggested Thoracoscopy. Can you explain what that is? Is it safe, and what should we expect from this procedure? She's a bit worried, and so am I. Any advice on how we should prepare or any questions we should ask her doctor about this?
kindly proceed with thoracoscopy to find the cause and go for the treatment
