I've been dealing with this itchy feeling in my scrotum for about two weeks now. What's going on, and is there any medicine you can recommend to help with it?

An itchy scrotum can be uncomfortable and concerning.

Before recommending any medication, it's essential to consider potential causes of the itchiness. Here are a few possibilities:

  1. Jock itch (Tinea cruris): A fungal infection that can cause itching, redness, and flaking skin in the groin area.

  2. Scabies: A parasitic infection caused by mites that can lead to intense itching, especially at night.

  3. Eczema (Atopic dermatitis): A chronic skin condition characterized by dry, itchy, and inflamed skin.

  4. Contact dermatitis: An allergic reaction or irritation caused by exposure to certain substances, such as soaps, detergents, or fabrics. While waiting for a doctor's appointment, you can try the following self-care measures:

  5. Maintain good hygiene: Keep the genital area clean and dry.

  6. Avoid scratching: Try to resist scratching the affected area to prevent further irritation.

  7. Wear loose, breathable clothing: Reduce irritation and discomfort by wearing comfortable clothing.

  8. Apply cool compresses: A cool, wet compress can help reduce itching and inflammation.

I'm having this issue where every time I masturbate or have sex, the head of my penis turns red. A while back, I had a fungal infection on my penis, and after seeing a urologist, he prescribed an antifungal cream that cleared it up. But the redness still happens when I have any sexual activity. I'm now seeing a dermatologist who suggested using Clop GM or Lobate GM and gave me some meds for my fast ejaculation problem. But nothing seems to be working for the redness. I really want to find a solution for this and have a healthy penis. Can you help me figure out what's going on here?

Lulican cream for local application for atleast 2 weeks is advised to the patient.

I'm dealing with alopecia barbae and it's really stressing me out. I'm desperate to find out what the best treatment options are to help manage or hopefully overcome this. Also, how much time does it typically take to see any improvements?

Alopecia barbae, which is a type of hair loss that affects the beard area, can be treated with minoxidil solution. You can apply minoxidil 5% solution twice daily on the affected area. It may take several months to see significant improvement, and treatment may need to be continued long-term to maintain results.
