I've been dealing with a lot of extra sputum all day for about six months now, and every now and then I find myself needing to take deep breaths. After exercising, I get this itchy feeling in my throat like something's stuck there. There's no fever, chest pain, coughing, or weight loss, but my nose is always congested and I find myself taking deep breaths throughout the day. It seems to calm down at night though. I'm wondering what's going on.

View allI've had asthma since I was a kid and used to take homeopathy for it, which seemed to help. It was pretty bad back then, with inhalers and nebulisers being a part of my daily routine. It eventually went away, thankfully. But now, after 15 years, Im having trouble again. My breathing feels offI have a slight cold and have been wheezing a lot since last night. I really dont want to go back on steroids. I've tried taking steam, but its not doing much. What should I do?

I've been experiencing this weird, persistent cough once a day or so, and each time it comes with this white, sticky phlegm. It only seems to stop after I somehow manage to clear it all out. Sometimes I even have to force myself to vomit just to get it out of my throat. Also, I've noticed a whistling or wheezing sound when I breathe in while Im coughing. Could you help me figure out what's going on, and suggest who I should reach out to for help?
Pulmonologist opinion is advised to the patient.
